Body Shop, Westfield Shopping Centre

Future Fire Screens were delighted to provide a steel framed shop front for The Body Shop at their store in London’s prestigious Westfield Shopping Centre.

The Body Shop which was founded in 1976 and has grown from a single shop in Brighton to some 2500 stores in over 60 markets worldwide. They are committed to lessening their impact on the environment by reducing the energy they consume and the waste they generate.

Innovative Design Solutions

Part of the store is a “Living Wall” which depicts a world map constructed from living herbs and medicinal plants. They wanted to reflect this in the design of their Shop Front and Doors.

FFS manufactured a fully framed shop front from Schuco Economy 50 profiles which due to its strength and durability, allowed the use of narrow mullions and transoms, cleverly designed to incorporate a display of trailing plants as part of the aesthetic and reinforcing the company’s ethos.

One of the most difficult elements was to match The Body Shop’s signature “green” colour palette, but through the use of numerous samples we were able to perfectly match their trademark green.
